“The believer trusts in God”
*
Introduction: Trust in God is a characteristic of the believer. It is not the “size of the faith” which comes first for God but its authenticity. Indeed the Lord said: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you” Lk 17:6. What matters to God is surely the truthfulness of faith so that He said: “But the righteous live by their faith“ Hab 2:4. The most important thing salvation depends on is the truthfulness of faith, for that reason Jesus warns us through His words: “However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” Lk 18:8
