FLM TOBY FANANTENANA 67 Ha
Prayer’s communion, Sunday VII before Easter Week from March 13 to March 18, 2017
“God’s salvation has come”
*
Introduction: God’s salvation has come like a great light that glows over those living in darkness and those held captives in the land of the shadow of death (Is.9:1 / Jn.5:24). Indeed Jesus declared when He read the scroll in the synagogue: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” Lk.4 :18-10. Surely the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, has come to bring salvation (Jn.1:29), consistently with the Angels’ announcement to Joseph: “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” Mt.1 :20-21. Those who sincerely seek Him can say, as the Samaritan people did to the woman who had talked with Jesus: “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world” Jn.4:42.
