Communion’s prayer Sunday VIII before Easter
Week from 20 to 25 March, 2017
“The Lord, mighty Savior”

Introduction: The Lord God has given us is a mighty Savior, even his Son Jesus-Christ. David told of Him: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool“Ps.110:1. He is a shield and a salvation for his people and “an ever-present help in trouble” Ps.46:1, a great confidence for those facing those facing difficulties and struggles. For Jesus said: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” Mt.28:18. And thus He said to those who follow Him: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” Jn.16:33. He makes known that He surely is called “Faithful and True” (Rev.19:11), so that all who rely on Him can claim: “The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” Ps.23:1, 4.
Monday 20: The Lord, the Savior of all who believe.
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer” 2 Sa.22:2.
