Communion’s prayer Sunday II before Easter
Week from 03 to 08 April 2017
“God makes a covenant”
*
Introduction: God makes a covenant with men in order to bless them and their descendant, and by their means all the nations in the whole world. He makes a covenant with people He trusts and knows, those who are faithful, not faithless, and committed to Him. For the Lord said to Abraham: “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed because you have obeyed me” Gen 22: 16-18. In this, He maintains His covenant to ensure an everlasting blessing. For He said: “I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you” Gen 17:7. Keep firmly his covenant in order to let Him hold on to you!
