Introduction: God loves to forgive because He is Love, and He also wants His people to be forgiving as He is. Henceforth, unforgiven sins are a
great chasm that separates us from God: our unrepentant sins, or those of others we have not forgiven. The word of the Lord says: « See, the Lord’s
hand is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. Rather, your iniquities have been barriers between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear » Isa 59:1-2. Sin is indeed evil for it separates us from God who is both our Creator and Lord Giver of life (Act 17:25), because »the sting of death is sin » 1 Cor 15:56a. So, while sin brings condemnation to death, forgiveness brings resurrection to
life.The heart of the God of Love cannot stand seeing His human creation dwell in death. Therefore, He said: « As I live, says the Lord God, I have
no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from their ways and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways; for why will you
die, O house of Israel? » Ezek 33:11. God’s intent to prevent the wicked from dying was fulfilled through the redemptive work of His Son, Jesus
Christ, who died for the sake of the sinners that we are, and rose again for us (1 Cor 15:3-4). For the blood of Jesus Christ was shed on the cross
where he suffered during and at his death for the free forgiveness of our sins, as it is written: « the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin » 1
Jn 1:7b. It is up to each of us to appreciate and receive this unfathomable love, and to return to Him. Then He will surely forgive, as it is said: « If we
confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness » 1 Jn 1:9. Believe in God’s forgiveness
in Jesus Christ, dare to repent and return to God, for this is the entrance into eternal life (Jn 3:36).

Him, because He has forgiven them and exhorts them, saying: « let the wicked forsake their way, and the unrighteous their thoughts;

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for

go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift » Mt 5:23-24. The Apostle Paul also wrote, « If it is
