The message: God’s promises will never fail (Lk 1:37), because He is Faithful and Just. For it is written, « God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? » Num 23:19. Therefore, we should have
the utmost trust in God’s promises, for they are the reliable assurance of salvation. For the faith in the word that God speaks saves those who believe in it (Lk 17:19), because He who is the Lord of the word justifies them, He is the « Pioneer and Perfecter of faith » Heb 12:2a. The fulfillment of God’s promises
is clearly emphasized in Scripture through the Apostle Paul as he wrote: « As surely as God is faithful, our word to you has not been ‘Yes and No.’ For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not ‘Yes and No’; but in him it is always ‘Yes.’ For in him
every one of God’s promises is a ‘Yes.’ For this reason it is through him that we say the ‘Amen,’ to the glory of God » 2 Cor 1:18-20. The « Amen » is the fulfillment of the word. For the promises of God are without deceit, but all true; and through the truth of his word God reveals his glory, for which we glorify
Him through thanksgiving and praise, as it is written: « Give to him glorious praise » Ps 66:2b. But it is also the truth of God’s word that strengthens our trust in Him and the words He speaks, and that is what He approves of in accordance with the word: « My righteous one will live by faith » Heb 10:38a. The
fulfillment of God’s promises is the foundation of our faith, for it is the assurance the Lord gives us so that our prayers to Him may be fulfilled. For Jesus said: « If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, [that is: « If you have in you a faith based on the word of God »] ask for whatever you wish, and it will
be done for you » Jn 15:7. The Word of God is the foundation of all his work and the guarantee of its fulfillment. Therefore believe his words, for He says: « Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away » Mt 24:35.

In this regard, the prophet Isaiah particularly prophesied: « For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it » Isa 55:10-11.

My dwelling place shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people » Ezek 37:26-27.

He has appointed them as witnesses of his love and as a source of blessing to all, people whom He has placed in the void to intercede for their nations (Ezek 22:30), and as faithful witnesses to God, « God’s own people, in order that you they proclaim the mighty acts of him who called them out of darkness into
his marvelous light » 1 Pet 2:9b.

Introduction: God’s promise is that sinful people will enter the kingdom of heaven and inherit eternal life. That is why Jesus proclaimed when He just began to preach: « Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near » Mt 4:17. The call of Jesus that He entrusted to his disciples is addressed to all people, without discrimination: « Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation » Mar 16:15.

Introduction: God does not vainly speak or make his servants whom He sends speak in vain. For while the Apostles were working, it is written that « they went out and proclaimed the good news everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that accompanied it » Mar 16:20. God is so jealous of the truth of his words so that it can not be hindered by the unbelief of any who does not believe.

Introduction: Jesus is the foundation of God’s kingdom and work; He is also the summit ridge to which all promises are attached. For it is written: « Christ Jesus himself [is] the cornerstone. In him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God » Eph 2:20b-22. Believe in Jesus, « Pioneer and Perfecter of the faith » Heb 12:2a, and all the promises in God’s word will be fulfilled.
