Introduction: Faith is what defines and distinguishes the person of God from all men, that is, building up their lives and trusting in God and accepting Him as Lord and Saviour forever, so that there is no other, and accepting Him to obey His Word, His will in all things (Eph 5:17). For by faith we are born children of
God (Jn 1:12-13) and walk in Him (Rom 15:18). The Lord said, « but my righteous one will live by faith. My soul takes no pleasure in anyone who shrinks back » Heb 10:38, « And without faith it is impossible to please him » Heb 11:6a. When we look at the concept of faith in God, it is peace and union with Him (Jn 15:5) and a commitment with Him to do His will and His work (Jn 14:12a). This is defined by the words of Jesus: « My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work » Jn 4:34. Therefore it is faith, not law or works, by which God justifies and saves men, for it is written: « For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast » Eph 2:8-9. And the work of God is also by the grace of faith, therefore we trust not in the flesh, but in God alone (2 Cor 3:5). This is how God distinguishes His people, as it is written, « Or what does a believer share with an unbeliever? […] Therefore come out from them, and be separate from them, says the Lord » 2 Cor 6:15b,17a. In summary, God’s grace works with people through faith to save them, and they receive God’s full and never-failing grace (Jn 1:16) to do His will in all things (Col 1:10).

It is written: « If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh, but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit » Gal 6:8.
