“The Redemptor reveals Himself”
The Redemptor is God’s revealing Himself through the Lord’s Anointed to bring redemption for the descendants of Israel, the nation chosen by God; yet also for all men and all the nations on the earth through them ( Gen 22:18). He refers above all to the Messiah or the Christ, even Jesus the Son of God whom the Father revealed at the time when He was baptised, declaring about Him: « This is my Son, the Beloved » Mt 3:17. « No one has ever seen God » Jn 1:18a because « God is spirit » Jn 4:24a; moreover He is filled with holiness, so that the sinful man cannot bear looking at Him or standing in His presence, otherwise he may die, according to the word of the people of Israel to Moses: « You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, or we will die » Ex 20:19.The redemption work made by the Lord’s Anointed manifests itself in three great forms: 1/ He gives forgiveness of sin and interceeds on our behalf in order to reconcile us to God (Rom 8:34). For He has been given to us, even « the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world » Jn 1:29, and who has come to destroy the wall that separated us from God (Is 59:2), so that He may take us as inheriting children and grant us access to the kingdom of His grace, for eternal life (Rom 8;17). 2/ He has revealed Himself, and opens the eyes of the blind so that they may see and know Him as the true Savior, according to what He declared to the disciples of John who had come to ask Him: « Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight » Mt 11:4-5a. 3/ The Lord’s presence among men is also what enables Him to open their ears (Mt 11:5), so that they may hear His voice that makes them live as He said, « Anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life » Jn 5:24. They will then be able to say like Thomas when the risen Jesus stood before him: « My Lord and my God » Jn 20:28.
Monday, 11th: The Lord’s Anointed brings redemption for men.
« To proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn » Isa 61:2

Introduction: The “year of the Lord’s favor” is the “year of the redemption of man.” To this purpose He sent His Messiah, even His Son Jesus Christ. Indeed, it is written: « But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us » Rom 5:8. As « without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins » Heb 9:22b. Therefore, He made redemption by purchasing us with His precious blood” (1 Pet 1:18-19) and forgiving our sins (Ephes 1:7).
Tuesday, 12th: The Lord’s Anointed brings renewal for men.
« See, I am making all things new » Rev 21:5a.

Introduction: The renewal that the Lord’s Anointed brings for men is their birth in the kingdom of God, which is the condition under which they can enter the heavenly kingdom (Jn 3:3-5). In this respect, Paul said as he remembered how God had renewed his life: « So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new » 2 Cor 5:17.
Wednesday, 13th: The Lord’s Anointed brings justification for the sinner.
« For I have come to call not the righteous but sinners » Mt 9:13.

Introduction: The purpose of the coming of Messiah into the earth was to save the sinner. In this respect, Jesus said: « God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him » Jn 3:17. So the Apostle Paul said: « There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus » Rom 8:1.
Thursday, 14th: The Lord’s Anointed reconciles the posterity with each another.
« Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right » Eph 6:1.

Introduction: It is important to God to build his kingdom among men, beginning with each household. It is based on making the Word of God one’s purpose in life (Col 3:16), as the Lord commanded: « Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise » Deut 6:7.
Friday; 15th: The Lord’s Anointed cares for the posterity.
« Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs » Mk 10:14.

Introduction: The posterity is precious to God’s heart as it constitutes the foundation on which the perpetuation of His kingdom on earth is built, so He makes them heirs of His promises, so that through them many will be blessed. In this regard, the Lord said to Abraham: « And by your offspring shall all the nations of the earth gain blessing for themselves, because you have obeyed my voice » Gen 22:18.
Saturday 16th: The Lord’s Anointed brings healing to the nations.
« I am going to bring it recovery and healing » Jer 33:6a.

Introduction: The essence of the healing brought by the Lord’s Anointed is His setting them free from the bondage of sin and the work of the devil. Indeed, « The sting of death is sin » 1 Cor 15:56a, which is the source of corruption and deterioration, and the devil is the one who sows the fear of death (Heb 1:15). All this builds walls that separate us from God, giving way to irreverence for what is sacred, unbelief and rebellion against God. In order for the nations not to perish, the Lord says to them: « Return; faithless people; I will cure you of your backsliding » Jer 3:22.
